The Chauvet Student Showcase is a chance for students from invited schools to display their lighting design and programming talents to local lighting industry professionals invited to the event by Chauvet. The schools invited to the 2017 Student Showcase were UCLA, USC, Cal Arts, and CSULB. We were given approximately a week to pick a song and storyboard our lighting looks. The day of the showcase each school had an hour and a half to program and run their song before presenting the finished show to the invited guests.
